CHW advises on MAp scheme of arrangement

December 2011

Cox Hallett Wilkinson (“CHW”) has advised MAp (now named Sydney Airport Group) in relation a scheme of arrangement conducted in Bermuda to effect a simplification of MAp’s corporate structure and a return of capital of close to AU$1.5 billion to MAp securityholders.

The CHW team of Jonathan Betts and Sarah-Jane Hurrion advised on the scheme process conducted through the Bermuda Supreme Court.  Allens Arthur Robinson acted as Australian legal advisors to MAp.

Jonathan Betts commented “MAp is a long-standing client of the firm, CHW having advised on its establishment and listing and thereafter acting as Bermuda counsel to the fund.  We are very pleased to have been able to assist with the continued evolution of the group”.
