Cox Hallett Wilkinson Limited ("CHW") has advised Cable & Wireless Communications plc in connection with the sale of its Bermuda operations ("C&W Bermuda"), comprising Cable and Wireless (Bermuda) Holdings Ltd., Cable and Wireless Bermuda Ltd. and Cable and Wireless eBusiness Ltd., as well as its 40% stake in Quantum Communications Ltd., to Eastlink International Holdings Inc., a subsidiary of The Bragg Group, for a total consideration of US$70 million.
C&W Bermuda is an international gateway business providing data capacity, internet and international direct dialing calling services. C&W Bermuda also provides data centre and disaster recovery services to the corporate community. Quantum Communications Limited is an alternative Bermuda local network provider.
The Bragg Group is a leading Canadian-based cable and telecommunications provider under the Eastlink brand.
